Emma Sutherland is a visual artist born and raised in Edinburgh. Primarily self-taught, she works full time from her home studio in Newhaven, which overlooks the Firth of Forth. The ebb and flow of the water greatly influence her deep thinking about the universe and everything in it. Evolving from her first love, painting, the making of her own mediums has led her to a wide range of disciplines that now include collage, textiles, and sculpture. Her work is in many private collections and is exhibited regularly.
